Ealing Friends of the Earth

Impact Theatre Immersive Exhibition on Ocean Pollution 27Nov to 16Dec 2021

In February 2020 not long before covid lockdown, Ealing Friends of the Earth gave a talk at the wonderful Impact Theatre in Perivale. They were working on an immersive project to be shown in their black box theatre space based around pollution and in particular plastic pollution.

It is now opening! Please see the details below if you would like to go, and please share. NOTE: the covid pass or lateral flow test requirements, if you plan to attend.

Immersive Exhibition ‘Red Rope: IMPACT on Ocean Pollution’

You will see artwork, dances and photographs by artists with learning disabilities with a soundtrack of our original music. The exhibition helps to raise awareness of the problem of plastic in our oceans.

The immersive experience is very powerful, and dynamic projections of digital art and film will be shown on the walls of our theatre to take audiences into an underwater paradise with important messages about nature and taking care of our world.

IMPACT is a theatre company for people with learning disabilities, based in Perivale. Our immersive project has been funded by the Arts Council England, London Marathon, Heathrow Communities Fund, The National Lottery Reaching Communities, and Freshwater Foundation.

We have worked hard on this project for two years and it helped us to get through the two lockdowns.

We hope you will join us to celebrate our talents and achievements and to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the oceans in a way you have never seen them before.
