21 July 2018 - Bee Cause at Wolf fields

Ealing Friends of the Earth were invited by the Christian environmental charity A Rocha to have a stall at the Wolf Fields community project open day. Wolf Fields is a three-acre site in Southall which has been transformed from a waste dump into a flourishing nature reserve, with an orchard, allotments and a sensory garden.

10 June 2018 - Bee Cause at Bedford Park Festival Green Day

We went to Chiswick for the Green Days Church Fete and Craft Fair, held on Acton Green as part of the Bedford Park Festival. The weather was lovely and we had a pleasant and successful day.

We were telling people about Friends of the Earth’s Great British Bee Count, which started in May and runs till the end of June. Downloading a free app lets you to identify and record different species of bee.

25-30 September 2017 - Bee Cause at Freshers' Fairs

Jules, Sheila and Virginia attended the Ealing, Hammersmith & West London Freshers’ Fairs at the Southall and Ealing sites, talking to students about the Clean Air and Bee Cause campaigns.

3 September 2017 -Brentford festival

Our stall featured the Clean Air Campaign and the Bee Cause, with Jules in the FoE big bee costume.

Despite the rather miserable weather the stall was quite well visited and many campaign cards were signed.


Stephen Pound MP backs the Bee Cause


Stephen Pound added his support to the Bee Action Plan of 2013,

which protects all 267 British species of bees,

and tries to ensure the way we farm our food and

plan towns and cities is appropriate for them.
