On Saturday 22 September 2018, alongside ten thousand others, we attended Chris Packham's 'Walk for Wildlife' from Hyde Park to Downing Street.

'Friends of the Earth' had volunteers dressed in the Bee Costumes collecting signatures for the petition against Glysophates and there were many other concerned organisations present, as well as individuals from all over the country. Sheila was walking alongside an elderly lady who had arrived by train from Plymouth at 4 in the morning and was due to return the same evening!

Despite the cold ,showery weather it was inspiring to hear various talks in the park not only by Chris Packham, but also by Lucy Cooke#MikeDilger#RobertMacFarlane#MyaRoseCraig AKA BirdgirlMark Carwardine Photography & ToursDave GoulsonGeorge MonbiotMark Avery However, the most inspiring of these were children, unafraid to face the camera and eloquently express their passion to help safeguard our wildlife from further mass extinction.

It was also a joy to walk through the beautiful architecture of London free of traffic ( particularly as it was Car Free Day ) When we arrived at Whitehall, there were further speeches and then Chris took 5 of the young people I mentioned, and entered Downing Street to present The 'People's Manifesto for Wildlife' to Michael Gove's representative. You can read this by clicking the link below...
