This event, which takes place in early March at ExCel, is primarily for built-environment professionals, but it's interesting for the non-specialist as well.
Ecobuild showcases a variety of innovative materials and techniques for creating sustainable buildings and environments, with sections on areas such as air conditioning, biodiversity, drainage, energy storage, heating, landscaping, recycled materials, roads, water saving and recycling, and many more. There was even a small Population Matters stall.
Some things that I found particularly interesting on my visit were the following:
Airlite, a pollution-absorbing paint suitable for interior and exterior use. According to the product information, it will neutralise nitrogen dioxide, eliminate surface bacteria and mould, repel airborne dust and dirt, and neutralise odours. See www.airlite.com
